Tonight’s Varsity Central Extra show on RNN will be airing live at 6:30 p.m. on RNN. I’ll be back in the studio. Josh Thomson will be out on assignment, so Joe Lombardi (no, the other one) is filling in.
Please, if you’re tuning in, take a moment to call. Even if it’s to heckle me about picking against North Salem, I’d love to hear from you. The number is 1-888-RNN-CHAT. Don’t bother calling until 6:40 or else you’ll be on hold for a while.
If you’re going over to Pace University tomorrow night to check out Peekskill, know that there will be plenty of rowdy Oneonta fans there.
According to the Oneonta Daily Star, the school will be providing a free shuttle bus for fans to the game. Section 4’s Oneonta had a huge turnout for Tuesday’s thrilling win over Section 9 New Paltz at Hartwick College, which is conveniently in downtown Oneonta. But with Peekskill being the three-time defending state champs, expect a load of people from upstate to come down and support their team.
The newspaper also has a story from today looking ahead to tomorrow’s Class A state regional final. Apparently, they’re quite familiar with Peekskill and star Mookie Jones. However, like myself, Daily Star reporter Rob Centorani wrote in his column that “Oneonta’s chances against Peekskill are slim” and that it “would do well to stay within 15 or 20 points.”

Great coverage tonight, well done on all parts, it hurts me to see a few idiotic north salem fans taint the great tiger nation, but with that said i feel that north salem is a great team that has potential to go all the way, although kevin (and company) have said the end of the line is saterday, i cant see north salem going out like this. there will be over 2,000 north salem fans on saterday and with support like that i see a Briarcliff/NS game instore and if north salem comes to play they have a good chance to go all the way.
PREDICTION: NS wins by 4 in OT.
great game tonight for geoff mcdermont and providence on espn tonight. he played oustanding and got great coverage for a school that hasn’t gad a very good team in a few years. i like what hes doing for that program.
I missed the RNN show tonight. Is there anywhere that I can see the video?
